Briquette pencil holder (2022)
Raging fire from briquette holes,
As time goes by, it breaks into ashes.
연탄구멍 사이로 뿜어져 나오는 불길,
시간이 지날수록 재가 되어 부서지는.
Briquette warms the room by becoming the ash. I tried to express its passion and self-sacrifice.
연탄은 스스로 부서지는 재가 되어가며 방 안을 따뜻하게 해줍니다. 열정적으로 타오르며 자신을 희생하는 모습을 표현하고자 했습니다.
The sharp shape and intense color of the pencils look like the raging fire. The transparent gradation of the pencil holder metaphorically conveys a message of sacrifice that disappears into ashes and burns inside.
색연필의 뾰족한 형상과 강렬한 색상이 뿜어져나오는 불길과 유사하다고 생각했습니다. 이러한 모티프와 연결지어 연필 꽂이를 디자인했습니다. 몸체의 투명해지는 그라데이션은 재가 되어 사라지는 희생의 메세지와, 뜨겁게 불타는 내면을 은유적으로 전달합니다.
